Unreal Engine on MASS [PL]

14 June 2025

Another year, another visit to the Lublin conference. Everything seems the same, but everything is different. Along the way, the event’s location changed, and so did my employer, but Lublin itself remained the same. This year, I came east with a presentation on data-driven development. It’s a rather complex and complicated topic, but it’s a constant trend in the industry. So, I decided to do my part in promoting it to new audiences.

Conference

It’s always great to return to Lublin to see a lot of familiar faces, and this time was no exception. The event itself was well-attended, indicating that Game Dev in this part of Poland is still growing. This is very encouraging.

Since the conference is aimed primarily at game developers at the beginning of their journey, I designed my presentation to introduce newcomers to the world of data-driven programming. I tried to demonstrate why, as programmers, we consider this approach in the first place and what we gain from it.

The presentation was definitely not the easiest to deliver, nor, I imagine, to understand. However, I received positive feedback from people who were very pleased with what they heard. I’m very happy about that.

Thanks for all the conversations, and see you next year!

Talk

The entire speech is available on YouTube. It is in Polish, as that was the language used for the entire conference.
