Why your carbonara should've stay in the kitchen [PL]

24 May 2024

June was a nostalgic return to Lublin for me, where, as part of the second edition of LubGameConference, I had the opportunity to give a lecture on whether and when it is worth focusing on ensuring the cleanliness of our code.

Lublin GameDev!

This topic is particularly special to me because it was in this city that the right approach to this part of work was instilled in me early on in my carrer. It’s an approach that has stayed with me to this day, though it has changed and refined along the way to adapt my desire to write scalable code to the grim realities of meeting deadlines and delivering product.

In this talk, my goal was to effectively grasp how to maintain high code quality in the context of changing priorities and requirements. This is a challenge every programmer faces daily, and developing appropriate workflows can be very helpful.

This was also my first time on stage as a speaker, so it was an additional challenge, but I think it went quite well and I will probably have the opportunity to return to Lublin more than once ;)

Talk

The entire speech is available on YouTube. It is in Polish, as that was the language used for the entire conference.
